Colorado CARES State Coordinator Starting Hearts is seeking qualified candidates to fill a new position as State Coordinator for the Cardiac Arrest Registry to Enhance Survival (CARES). CARES is a national database created by the Center for Disease Control and Emory University to track pre-hospital, in-hospital, and post-hospital data on cardiac arrests to compare statewide outcomes to national averages to improve outcomes. Keynote Address at EMS World Expo Anne Montera, the CMRETAC's Executive Director of Central Mountains RETAC, and Chris Montera, CEO of Eagle County Paramedics, will be delivering the keynote address at EMS World Expo, in Nashville, TN.  Anne Montera, a registered nurse, will share her personal story of how she suffered a cardiac arrest, was resuscitated by her paramedic husband, Chris, only to awake in a hospital and learn she was being treated for an opioid overdose. The keynote is scheduled for 9:30
